Sci2sci Raises €1.2M for Trustworthy AI in Biopharma

Berlin startup sci2sci just closed a €1.2 million pre-seed round, and investors say it is tackling one of AI's biggest blind spots: trust. According to a press release from IBB Ventures, one of the round's co-leads alongside Heliad, the funding will help sci2sci grow its engineering team and roll out its products, VectorCat and Integrity Cortex, further into biopharma and other heavily regulated industries.
The company's pitch is simple but ambitious. In fields like biopharma, a single fact often traces back through years of scattered PDFs, spreadsheets and lab notes. When AI tools are layered on top of that mess, they can end up confidently making things up. Sci2sci's flagship product, Integrity Cortex, is built to stop that. It treats every fact from a company's documents as something that must be verified, tracing each claim back to its source and flagging anything that cannot hold up.

Co-founder and CTO Valerii Kremnev points to recent AI security incidents at OpenAI and Anthropic as proof that the industry needs guardrails built in from the start, not bolted on later.
Sci2sci's technology is already used across the drug development chain, from pre-clinical research to bioprocess operations, and its verification layer is designed to meet FDA record-keeping standards. With this new funding, the company plans to deepen those biopharma relationships and expand into other regulated sectors, including banking.
