Berlin Defence Firm STARK Snaps Up Raydiant RF

Berlin drone maker STARK has just added a bit more muscle to its electronic warfare toolkit. According to a press release from the company, STARK has acquired Raydiant RF, a Berlin-based start-up specialising in radio frequency technology.
Raydiant RF was founded in 2024 at the Urban Tech Republic in Berlin-Tegel and brings know-how in antenna design, analog electronics and software-defined radios. That expertise fits neatly with STARK's push into electronic warfare, an area that has become increasingly important as armed forces try to detect, jam and protect communications on the battlefield.
STARK already has one electronic warfare system in the field, R-Zero, which helps unmanned platforms scout out hostile transmitters and radar installations. With Raydiant RF on board, the company wants to build a wider portfolio of EW capabilities on top of that foundation.
One key piece of technology Raydiant RF brings along is a compact directional antenna that can be fitted to existing drones. Instead of broadcasting signals in every direction, it beams them straight to the intended receiver, more like a laser than a light bulb. That makes the connection much harder for an opponent to spot, locate or jam, and it uses edge AI to react to jamming attempts as they happen.
The technology will also be built into STARK's Minerva mission management software, giving operators a clearer view of activity across the electromagnetic spectrum.
Raydiant RF founder Luca Steinweg is joining STARK as Head of Communications/Electronic Warfare, along with the start-up's four-person engineering team.
STARK is headquartered in Berlin and builds unmanned systems for multiple military domains, with further locations in Ukraine, the UK, Sweden and Greece.
