Berlin's xHeron Secures Pre-Seed Funding

Berlin-based startup xHeron has raised a pre-seed funding round led by IBB Ventures, with participation from business angels experienced in hospitality, AI and business. The company develops an AI-native outsourcing model for guest operations in the short-term rental sector.
According to a press release from IBB Ventures, the fresh capital will help xHeron expand its technology and turn its operational expertise into increasingly autonomous capabilities. The goal is to support more operators while improving efficiency across guest communication, coordination and issue resolution.
As short-term rental businesses grow, managing guest operations becomes increasingly complex. Around-the-clock communication, property-specific requirements and unexpected issues often require coordination between guests, cleaners, technicians and operators. xHeron addresses these challenges by taking responsibility for guest operations while allowing customers to retain control over their own policies, brand standards and decision-making processes.
The startup says its approach combines human expertise with AI to manage and continuously improve operational workflows. Insights from more than 21,000 guest operation cases are being used to build procedures and capabilities that can support higher levels of automation over time.
xHeron has already gained notable traction. The company reached a high six-figure annual recurring revenue while bootstrapping the business and reports a net revenue retention rate of 115%. More than half of its customers were acquired through referrals from existing operators.
Founded by Cedric Beese and Friedrich Hermann, xHeron plans to use the investment to expand AI-driven decision-making, coordination and oversight across a broader range of guest operation processes within the short-term rental industry.
