Berlin-based startup Conlio has secured €6.4 million in fresh funding to accelerate the development of its AI-powered platform for financial processes in road freight transport. According to a report published by Startbase, the funding round was led by Piton Capital and included investors such as Haufe Group Ventures, WaVe-X, F-LOG Ventures, as well as existing backers System. One, Puzzle Ventures, Booom Ventures, and Yellow. The new capital will support product development, hiring, and further expansion across Europe.
Founded by Dr. Claudio Consul, a former senior product executive at logistics unicorn sennder, Conlio focuses on one of the industry's most time-consuming challenges: processing transport documents. Freight forwarders must handle large volumes of delivery confirmations, CMR consignment notes, and invoices, often across multiple languages and formats.
Conlio’s platform uses artificial intelligence to read, interpret, and verify these documents against transport orders. The goal is to reduce manual work and create structured transaction data that can be used for additional financial processes.
The company says its technology can automate more than 90 percent of transport document checks.
Already active in Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Denmark, the startup plans to strengthen its European presence. Beyond document verification, Conlio aims to build a broader financial infrastructure for road freight transport, covering processes such as invoice checks, payment approvals, and financial reconciliation.
