Berlin-based care tech startup AssistMe has closed a €6.5 million funding round, and according to the company's press release, it plans to put the money to work fast. The round is led by CRB Health Tech and Vorwerk Ventures, joined by U.S. investor SUM Ventures and existing backers Brandenburg Kapital, the Conle Family Office, Next Big Thing, and IBB Capital.

The plan: expand sales across Europe, prepare for a U.S. market entry in 2027, and keep developing the company's alea care platform.

Founded in 2017, AssistMe builds digital assistance systems for the care sector, pairing software with connected hardware. alea gives caregivers real time alerts on the things that matter day to day, like when an incontinence product needs changing, how someone is positioned, or whether a fall may have happened. That information flows straight into care documentation, cutting down on paperwork and freeing up time for actual caregiving.

The numbers back up the pitch. Monthly recurring revenue has grown more than sixfold over the last six months, and alea is now used by both large and small providers, including facilities run by the Johanniter, the AWO, the Führer Group, and the Argentum Group.

CEO Julio Brandl says alea exists because care decisions often get made with incomplete information, not through negligence but simply because the data isn't there. The platform is meant to close that gap.

Currently active in eight European countries, alea is also branching into home care, extending its reach beyond residential facilities to support people wherever they receive care.
