Berlin-based travel tech company YGO has raised €8 million in a Series A funding round led by Ventech, according to information provided in a press release from Ventech.

The startup is building AI infrastructure for the travel industry. Its platform helps airlines, hotels, tour operators and travel companies make their inventory accessible and bookable through AI assistants and agents. The goal is to bridge the gap between existing travel systems and a new generation of AI powered travel experiences.

As more travelers use AI tools to discover, plan and book trips, YGO wants to help travel suppliers stay in control of their customer relationships while enabling direct bookings. The company offers a neutral AI orchestration layer that integrates with existing booking systems, allowing travel businesses to add AI capabilities without replacing their current technology.

YGO says its platform can support functions such as semantic search, personalized recommendations, automated customer service and booking processes. The company already works with customers including Condor, Bentour and GetAway Group.

The new funding will be used to expand go-to-market activities, strengthen YGO’s AI platform and grow its customer base beyond the DACH region. According to the company, its infrastructure has already processed more than €15 million in bookings and helped customers improve operational efficiency and conversion rates.

Founded by Julian Kögel, Willi Ibbeken and Sebastian Kreutzberger, YGO aims to become a key technology layer connecting the travel industry with the growing ecosystem of AI assistants and agents.
